Abstract
The M. I. Sytenko Institute of Bone Pathology affiliated with the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine is one of the leading research medical institutions in the country. During its half-a century history the Institute has successfully developed and applied the allo- and xeno-tissue transplantation technologies. Currently, in continuation of the achievements of the previous generations, the Institute activity is aimed at further elaboration and implementation of the demineralized and denaturalized allo- and xenobone material in medical practice; investigation of the stromal mesenchymal stem autocells; and study of the bone matrix proteins.
